“I believe that the very purpose of life is to be happy. From the very core of our being, we desire contentment. In my own limited experience I have found that the more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being. Cultivating a close, warmhearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It helps remove whatever fears or insecurities we may have and gives us the strength to cope with any obstacles we encounter. It is the principal source of success in life. Since we are not solely material creatures, it is a mistake to place all our hopes for happiness on external development alone. The key is to develop inner peace.”
And I believe that happiness means/entails nothing other than following our hearts. This is because “we are not solely material creatures,” and what we see as our ‘happiness’ is thus dependent on how we perceive and define our selves; but our real happiness comes when we do what’s right by our selves, following our soul’s desire, and hence attain “inner peace.” We therefore often search for ‘happiness’ in all of the wrong places, since we’re not sure what it is we’re looking for or how to get it, as we are unsure of who we are ourselves and the answers feel unclear. However, the fulfillment brought with the inner peace of a heart that guides us using the destiny-map provided by the soul is sure to cause the greatest happiness of all.
I don’t know why, I now once again feel like I’m drowning… I can’t breathe… There’s this pressure in my chest… I need someone… anyone, but I have no one… I just want to disappear… Why is my life such a fucking soap opera? My thoughts are scaring me again… I so badly want to close my eyes and never open them again…
